Remarks | This is the second significant sighting I've had in my life. The first appeared in the same part of the sky in the same town in the mid 1980's. It was very large, bright white and yellow, with large yellow balls following in the tail. I thought it was an airplane on fire plummeting to earth. It lasted 5 or more seconds and I did not see any final burst. I watched it go from the southwest sky to the north west sky - it was spectacular. The glowing green ball I saw the morning of 4-9-2017 was much smaller - very bright green. It almost appeared to come at me as a ball before I saw it's tail. It was moving from the south west to the north west also. A great sighting! |
